Review Sites – What they are and what they do

I. A “review site” should offer the visitor the opportunity to compare various products available to them for a particular niche. The goal is to inform the user of their “best” option to meet their needs. When deciding on the product to review, affiliates should remember that they are trying to fulfill the need of the customer by giving them compelling information about the product.

II. Do your homework. By familiarizing yourself with the website and features of the site you wish to review, you’ll be ahead of the “curve” when you are writing your review. Show the customer that you KNOW the product and you KNOW it lives up to your review and rating.

III. Make sure it’s true. Don’t make up features that don’t exist within the confines of the product being reviewed. If you have a question about what a product will accomplish for the user, check with the Affiliate Manager of the product you wish to review. IV. Keep It Simple: I’m sure you’ve surfed the Net to find a particular product, only to land on a site that is so confusing that you can’t understand the purpose. Therefore, when you create your review, be sure that it’s simple, to the point, and easy to navigate.
